ESD Control Procedure
ESD Protected Area (EPA)[edit | edit source]
Venture Research Inc. has a declared ESD Protected Area or EPA that is used for any manufacturing process that requires a board or other ESD sensitive object to be handled or unprotected by an enclosure or sealed anti-static bag including but not limited to assembly, programming, and testing. This area is located on the north side of the Manufacturing Facility, demarcated by a yellow floor line stating “CAUTION ESD AREA” and yellow crowd control line reading “ESD PROTECTED AREA”. Posted signs also state “EPA” and list requirements for entering.
