Programming MC7354 Modems[edit | edit source]

  • ESD protection!!!
  • Plug in Mini PCIe programming board into power and USB.
  • Insert the MC7354 Modem into the carrier board.
  • Turn on power to the carrier board, make sure the lights come on.
  • Wait 10 seconds.... while the drivers install. Watch for the WWAN light to blink. You can also look in Device Manager to see Sierra Wireless DM and NMEA Ports under Ports.

  • Go to directory M:\$$-TOOLS\sierra_wireless\MC7354\
  • Open 9999999_9902574_SWI9X15C_05.05.58.00_00_GENNA-UMTS_005.025_002-field.exe

  • Wait for the modem to reflash..

after ... 2 minutes or so ...

  • Press Enter and the window will close.
  • Turn off the dev board, and remove the modem from the slot.
  • Make sure to mark with 'GEN' and a green programming dot.

Modem is programmed!
