VR Manufacturing - VR Mux Test[edit | edit source]
This tutorial is a reference to test a VR MUX Board used in many Venture Research products. The ip address 10.16.6.11 is a static ip for this machine from now on.
Step 1: Turning on and connecting the Blue Box of the test
Step 2: Open PuTTy
Step 3: On PuTTy, select the “SWR MUX Board Test” Session, and Load it and Open
Step 4: Login as "root"
Step 5: Input command ifconfig, and double click the inet address, which will be under eth0
*double clicking the ip address will automatically put in on your clipboard
Step 6: Click on the VR Hardware Manager icon to start it
Step 7: Click on the VR Hardware Manager start icon and select VR Device and Bare Shelf Mux Board [System]
Step 8: Paste the inet address obtained earlier by pressing Ctrl-V in the Device Connection window
Step 10: Click on the play button and enter your User Identification number
*Client info is usually not needed
Step 11: Enter the serial number from the board by scanning the label on it or entering the information manually
Step 12: Pick date and time, although what is usually given to you is correct
Step 13: Click Yes on “is the following information complete and correct?”
Step 14: Make sure RF port 1 is connected to MUX before placing the MUX down to align with the pins
Step 15: Record values from the Power Meter (should be turned on)
*This should run through 1, 3, 5, and 7.
Step 16: Make sure RF port 2 for entering the values of 2,4,6,8
Step 17: Print the final PASS/FAIL report and keep it with the MUX for later paperwork
