VRAN = Venture Research Asset Number

Track Fixed Assets throughout their entire Life Cycle including:
- Development
- Production
- Customer/Field Use
- Possible RMA
- Decommissioning
What is a Fixed Asset?[edit | edit source]
A Fixed Asset is an Item/Device/Assembly that is used in the Development, Design, or Production at Venture Research Inc.
This includes:
- Computers
- Test Equipment
Usage[edit | edit source]
- A VRAN stays with an asset for its entire life cycle
- If there may be an issue, please contact QC
- Any changes in status need to be reflected in VR Asset Manager
- Anything not covered here: refer to QC
RFID Encoding[edit | edit source]
To encode a VRAN into an EPC, please use the VR standard GIAI Encoding with Customer ID 0 (VR) and Encoding Station 7. Use BCD for the serial number portion.
Example: 34083328448A070000001000 == VRAN000001000
