LMCO EMAS Final Setup Procedure[edit | edit source]
Laptop Network Requirements[edit | edit source]
- IP Address:
137.32.144.2
- Subnet Mask:
255.255.252.0
- Default Gateway: Blank
Connect to Reader[edit | edit source]
- Plug in USB Key
- Plug in Reader to POE (to local Laptop)
- Wait for Bootup
- Run Final Test Utility Application
- Scan Reader's VRSN (IP Address is automatically entered from IP Listing)
- Click Connect
a. If connection fails, Putty into unit and confirm IP Settings:
- See if an IP Address is listed:
ifconfig eth0
- If not, check if the Ethernet file is correct:
nano /etc/NetworkManager/system-connections/Ethernet
- It should contain the following (with the Reader's Static IP Address entered at STATIC.IP.ADDRESS.HERE):
[802-3-ethernet] duplex=full
[connection] id=Ethernet uuid=78ecb3fd-e330-468b-b76b-92c1b22f7767 type=802-3-ethernet
[ipv6] method=auto
[ipv4] method=manual address1=STATIC.IP.ADDRESS.HERE/22,137.42.144.1
- Set the correct permisisons for the file:
chmod 600 /etc/NetworkManager/system-connections/Ethernet
- Restart NetworkManager:
systemctl restart NetworkManager
- Retry Step 6
- Wait for Green Indication
Setup MUX[edit | edit source]
- Ensure MUX Settings is the current Tab
- Click Get MUX from Reader
- Verify Reader MUX Settings are correct by comparing:
MUX Map Settings MUX Settings from Reader Antenna Panel Diagram Antenna Panel on Reader
(If MUX Map and Reader MUX Settings Match, Get MUX from Reader is Green)
- Once correct settings are displayed, Click Send to Reader
- Click Commit
Verify Settings[edit | edit source]
- While still on the MUX Settings Tab, Click Check Settings
- Follow onscreen prompts
- If Check Settings is Yellow, Repeat above "Verify Settings" Step 1.
- If Check Settings is Green, Continue to next section
Update Reader and Configure / Collect Reader Data[edit | edit source]
- Switch to Reader Configuration Tab
- Click Connect to disconnect from Reader and again to re-establish connection
- Click Run Configuration Script
- Wait for Script to Run (May take a few minutes)
- Watch for Completed Message
- Verify Output Dialog Box
- Copy of Output files placed at: /Logs inside the program directory
Connect to Reader on TLS[edit | edit source]
- PuTTY into Reader and at root@hostname:~# console prompt enter:
openssl s_client -connect localhost:2020
- (Prints out OpenSSL Certification Information, then shows > RFID prompt)
- Disable TLS:
SET TLSSECURE DISABLED COMMIT EXIT
- Restart RFID Service:
systemctl restart rfid
- Connect to Reader normally:
nc localhost 2020
Test Hardware
- Antennas and Inputs with Test Tag
