Manufacturing Employee Rules and Regulations[edit | edit source]

In an effort to improve the professionalism at Venture Research Inc. and “up our game” to be even more successful and reach a higher level of productivity and client base, it is the expectation that all manufacturing employees follow the rules and regulations listed below.   We are privileged to have you as an employee at Venture Research Inc. and you are privileged to be an employee of Venture Research Inc. as stated in your Employment Agreement:

1.01. At-Will Employment. The Employee’s employment is at-will, as defined under applicable law. This means Employee may voluntarily terminate for any reason whatsoever simply by notifying the Company in writing two weeks prior to the final date of their employment. Likewise, the Company may terminate Employee’s employment at any time and for any reason whatsoever with or without cause or advance notice.[edit | edit source]

Failure to follow the rules and regulations will be considered a violation and will be handled accordingly.  Discipline at Venture Research Inc. may include, but not limited to: verbal coaching, written warnings, suspensions with or without pay, and termination.  Venture Research Inc. reserves the right to accelerate, skip or ignore any or all steps given the situation.

  • Time Clock Fraud – If you are working, you should be on the clock.  If you are not working, i.e. on break, on your phone, at lunch, smoking, on a personal errand, at the doctor, etc. you should not be clocked in.
  • Taking Venture Research Inc. property off site is not allowed including borrowing tools.
  • Always follow safety practices as required including cut resistant gloves and safety glasses when appropriate.  Notify Micki McCutcheon or the front office in the event of an injury immediately.
  • Use tools properly and for their intended purpose.
  • Personal tools may not be brought in to work for any reason.
  • Keep your work area clean and orderly.
  • Do not take apart, move, remove or add infrastructure, fixtures and test equipment.
  • Do not daisy-chain power strips, extension cords or UPS units together as per the City of Plano Code Enforcement regulations.  Each must be plugged in directly to an outlet.
  • Do not block fire extinguishers at any time.
  • Notify Micki McCutcheon or the Front Office if you are leaving or will be absent.  If you have not called in by 9:30AM it will be considered a “No Call No Show” and t will be notated in your permanent record.
  • Cell phone usage is prohibited while you are on the clock.  If you need to make or take a personal call you must clock out and leave the manufacturing floor.  All business related calls should be made from the ShoreTel phones that are located on the floor.
  • No food or drinks are allowed on the manufacturing floor.  If you need to drink or eat you may do so on your break or lunch.
  • Drugs and alcohol are not permitted.
  • Guns not allowed on premises.
  • No smoking is allowed within 25 feet of the entrance/exit of the building as per the Plano City Ordinance, including e-cigarettes.
  • Verbal or physical fighting among employees is absolutely prohibited. Employees shall not engage in, provoke, or encourage a fight.
  • All Venture Research Inc. employees must work together as a team and communicate in a professional manner at all times.
  • Gossip and slander of any kind is not permitted.
  • All Quality Control (QC) sheets must be filled out thoroughly and represent accountability by your initials.

When visitors are touring, remain working and represent Venture Research Inc. with utmost professionalism
